Born into a cloud of polishing dust

My story starts with my mom, Helle. She graduated as a goldsmith in 1990 in Hjørring, before moving to Kolding to work for Hans Hansen (later Georg Jensen). In 2005, she opened her own jewelry shop, which quickly became my second home. Depending on the day, I was either helping out, getting in the way, or just soaking up the creative chaos.

Masterclass (Mom Edition)

After finishing my studies I turned to my mother to learn some jewelry making skills, mostly just for the fun of it and to get some quality mother daughter time. Turns out, I absolutely loved it and couldn’t stop again.

That marked the beginning of years of practice at my mother’s workbench in Kolding, learning the ropes and mastering the craft, which eventually allowed me to transition from learning the rules to breaking them, ultimately shaping my own style and approach to the craft.

Offspring 2026

After countless hours at the workbench and a few burned fingers, I was ready to make something of my own and the name was a no-brainer: Offspring.

Now I have a workplace in Copenhagen, but I still hear my mom’s voice in the back of my head (“Don’t forget to polish the back of that piece!”). Every single piece is made by hand with the techniques passed down and a huge love for the craft.
